Sometimes as a write my Success Newsletter, I assume that people have a clear understanding of how these skills that I talk about (marketing, blogging, copy writing, etc) relate to building your business on the Internet.  I often times talk about the tools and skills and sometimes I might not give you the big picture with a clear understanding of how all of this works together.

What I am teaching you (long term) is to learn how to market and generate traffic, create a free information product that you can give away to your traffic, up-sell an inexpensive information product to the people that request your free product and then communicate with those people, offering them real value through your communication.

The end result of putting those elements to work for you is relationships and people like to do business with people that they have a relationship with.

The entire process is called a “funded proposal” and the very cool thing about it is that you can actually fund your advertising budget from the money generated through the sales of the inexpensive information product.

Your goal is to build residual income from your Network Marketing business and the old school thinking was to go into debt using credit cards or use savings to fund the advertising of your business.  I’m giving you a new school - Network Marketing 2.0 method of creating a positive cash flow before you even sign someone up for your business.

If you pay attention to one thing from the last 2 months of my newsletters it should be this:

Your Network Marketing business is a very important piece to the empire that you have the ability to create, but it is not the only piece. Don’t think of yourself as a Shaklee distributor or an Arbonne representative.  You are an entrepreneur.

I will always build a Network Marketing business, but my friends and family don’t look at me as the M*L*M Guy, they look at me as an entrepreneur.  Remember to think big. Business focus is vital but don’t ignore a way to create hundreds of leads while funding your advertising budget in order to focus solely on dialing leads for your Network Marketing business.

I am in the process of creating my own information products (one free and one that is an inexpensive product that I will up-sell to those people that request my free product).

This will be my own funded proposal for my personal use, but I am not waiting until I finish my own products to use the funded proposal concept.  In fact, I created 2,345 leads and $7383.40 in commissions over the last 3 months by using Ann Sieg’s funded prosposal system called the Renegade Network Marketer.  You can get full access to the system complete with a ton of training videos and material for $67 and there are no further ongoing fees.  That includes two web sites and a complete back office system to help you market and track your leads.

If you consider that business opportunity leads sell for $3 on average and Ann Sieg’s System helped me create 2,345 of them, that’s a net gain of over $7,000 plus over $7,000 in commissions for a total return of over $14,000 using a system that costs $67 to purchase.

This is important to mention, I am not the average marketer and my results are in no way, shape or form typical and you should not expect to get the same results. I already had a significant web presence before I started marketing the Renegade System. Heard enough disclaimer yet?

OK….Let’s think about the “What if…?”  for a second.  What if you created 5 or 10% of my results?

Would an extra $700 and 235 leads over the last 3 months hurt your bottom line?

Of course it wouldn’t and it’s fun without the crazy pressure that can be associated with prospecting.

Here is my link to the Renegade System (read about the system and see if it makes sense to you, try it).
If you chose to use my link, we will be connected as affiliates. In the near future, I will be doing a series of conference calls to talk specifically about how to use the Renegade System, consider that a little extra bonus for using my link.

The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing

Income Buckets

I recently read a post at the MLM.com forum about a marketing technique called funded proposals. Basically, a funded proposal involves selling some type of product (usually information) as a lead in to developing a relationship and eventually exposing your business (product and/or opportunity) to the person that purchased your information product.

———-

I created roughly 1800 leads and over $6,000 in profits from a funded proposal in the last 3 months and I tell you exactly how I do it here.

———-

The MLM.com poster basically suggested that these programs are bad because they take away the focus of building the primary business.

This type of thinking makes me wonder whether Network Marketers are really cut out to be entrepreneurs.

Let’s logically think about this. If I can make money that will pay for more advertising while I am creating targeted leads for my business, why in the world wouldn’t I want to do that? I think the illogical reasoning mostly comes from the hero-worship of an “upline” mentor who probably has no clue about marketing on the Internet.

This is the year 2007 and I am all about buckets. My income today comes from a number of different buckets. Think about this, if you can create a marketing system in a particular niche that allows you to earn $500 a month on the Internet without talking to anyone, that is a pretty nice deal, right?

Well, what if you could duplicate that system with 20 other niche markets or companies or affiliates? All of a sudden, you are making $10,000 a month before you pick up the phone and make a prospecting phone call. Keep in mind, 20 - $50 buckets is not a bad deal either.

Some top industry leaders have voiced their concern about these programs and for good reason. Their income is directly related to the people in their group staying focused on their particular company. But many of these leaders also talk about J. Paul Getty in their business presentations, siting Getty’s quote, “I’d rather have 1% of the effort of 100 men than 100% of my own effort.”.

In the same manner, I would rather have 1% of 100 different income buckets than 100% of 1 bucket.

It’s called diversification.  I will never again put all of my eggs in one basket, not matter how good the basket is.

The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing

Rat

I recently had someone send me an email blasting me for promoting blogging and Blog i360 as a way to brand yourself on the Internet…Reader Beware: I am a little fired up.
Ya know, there is nothing I love more than someone who doesn’t have a clue about blogging, trying to tell me that blogging doesn’t work. Part of me wants to post the guys letter on my blogs so that the thousands of people that actually read my blogs will have something to laugh at. Bask with me in that irony for a moment. Thanks!

I also see this type of thing happening to Network Marketers all of the time. Some friend or family member who has no clue about today’s business world, let alone the Network Marketing industry tells you that “that type of business doesn’t work”.

I got the same attitude from this emailer.

Did I let this emailer phase me? Of course not. Even though he did irritate me, the facts reveal that he’s wrong.

In the same manner, if you know for a fact that people make money with Network Marketing and you know for a fact that people make money with your company and you know for a fact that people get value out of the product that you offer…don’t let anyone shake your tree.

Ok, back to blogging…

Here are some myths that the emailer sent my way:

Myth No. 1: “Putting up a blog, add content daily and use keywords related to the blog wont work.”

My response: Complete and absolute B.S. Blogging does work and I have proved it over and over again. In fact, a few years ago, I did an experiment using only a blog to market a start up Network Marketing company. After a month of consistent, daily posting about the product, company, team and my success (or failure) I cut back to once or twice a week with my posts. After 6 months, my check was over $200 per week and I never spoke with anyone, I just blogged.

Want more proof about blogging?

Google: Ty Tribble or Univera or Ann Sieg or Renegade Network Marketing or MonaVie or Send Out Cards or Vemma or Isagenix or MLM Blog or Network Marketing Blog or Body Alive or any number of Network Marketing companies…and what will you find? Me, Ty Tribble, blog author. No, I am not involved with all of those companies, I am only building one Network Marketing company, but I write about many companies and I didn’t pay a dime for the search engine links.

Blogging absolutely works as a way to brand yourself on the Internet.

Myth No. 2: “You forgot to mention linking your blog to as much other blogs as possible.”

My Response: Linking your blog to other blogs means nothing…Nada…Zip…Zero…Zilch.

But getting other blogs and social media sites to link to you, means everything.

That is where Blog i360 comes in.

(The emailer guy was actually suggesting to me that the best blogging program is Blogspot…”cause it’s free”)

Rat meat is free too, but we are not going to have grilled rat when you come to my house for dinner.

Gang, I have used Wordpress, Movable Type, Typepad, Blogger (Blogspot) , Vox, and just about every other host you can think of and I have never seen anything like Blog i360.

Blog i360 will automatically submit your posts to 15 (or so) different social media sites so that you get those very important back links. Blogger or Blogspot does not submit your posts anywhere, they don’t have Search Engine Optimization strategies built in and they don’t integrate video and podcasting. Blog i360 does all of those things and a lot more. It is bar-none the best blogging program for Network Marketers, Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners on the planet.

Lastly, I want to make one thing very clear. I will never recommend a tool or program that I do not use and believe in. Ever. You have my word. I believe in blogging and I believe that Blog i360 is a great tool for those that want to use blogging as part of a Internet Success Template.

Phew. Rant Over.

If you would like to sign up for a trial of Blog i360, (it’s $1 for the first month), use my link.

If you are concerned about the 33 cents that I make when you sign up, Google: Blog i360 and find another affiliate link. Just know that I was going to use that 33 cents as a down payment (10%) towards a cup of Starbucks coffee. Heh. I guess that rant was not all of the way over. Sorry! = )

Scott AllenIt is no coincidence that Scott Allen of About.com and Virtual Handshake fame and I launched our new blogs on Blog i360 around the same time. We both feel that it is about time to shake up the industry of Network Marketing and Scott was actually the one who turned me on to the Blog i360 blogging solution. Blog i360 is a blogging solution that is taylor made for Network Marketers, although I’m not sure that the company is aware of that fact yet. Once Network Marketers around the world see the potential of branding through blogging, Blog i360 will explode.

In case you haven’t guessed, Yes, I suggest you subscribe to Blog i360.

As a bonus for subscribing to Blog i360 through my link, you will get the opportunity to listen in on Scott Allen’s training/coaching conference calls. Scott usually charges $500 per hour for coaching, so this is a pretty good deal.

I also highly recommend subscribing to Scott’s new blog, Revenue River.

Network Marketing and Google SearchHow would you like to dominate the search engines when it comes to your Network Marketing company?

It is absolutely possible. But you don’t have to take my word for it. I’ll show you proof.

Here is a Google search for Univera LifeSciences, a Network Marketing company that I started with about 18 months ago.

I hold 5 of the top 10 positions in Google when you search for “Univera LifeSciences“, a biotech company in the natural products arena. (My entries are #4, 6, 7, 8 and 10. I am also mentioned in #5 and I have advertised in the past on # 3) Given those numbers, it’s a pretty good chance that a potential business partner or customer that doesn’t have a sponsor will come across me.

In my forthcoming eBook, I will be sharing all of my insider secrets that will help you in ‘Branding Yourself and Your Business Through Blogging‘.

One secret I will share with you (right now) has to do with my blog host, Blog i360. I used to spend 40 + hours setting up a blog with all of the widgets and gadgets needed to get good results with my blogging. That doesn’t even mention the 3 year learning curve and endless hours of tweaking and studying geek sites and forums it took me to learn all of that stuff.

Blog i360 takes care of all of the technical junk and allows you to focus on the important things like building your brand online. For a $1 trial month of Blog i360, click here.
